About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Activities Manager to design, coordinate, and lead engaging guest activities that highlight the natural beauty and unique environment of Paradise Valley, just outside Yellowstone National Park. This role focuses on creating memorable outdoor adventures, coordinating day hikes, managing partnerships with local contractors, and hosting educational guest speakers that deepen guests’ connection to the region’s wildlife, history, and culture.

Requirements

  • Master Naturalist Certification, Wilderness First Responder, First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience in outdoor recreation management, hospitality, or event coordination - preferably in a nature-focused or resort setting.
  • Knowledge of the Yellowstone region’s natural and cultural history is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable leading groups in outdoor wilderness settings with a focus on safety and guest engagement.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with local vendors and community partners.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable hours during peak seasons.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the Yellowstone region’s natural and cultural history is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a seasonal calendar of guest activities including guided day hikes, wildlife viewing excursions, cultural presentations, and recreational events inspired by the local environment.
  • Lead safe, informative, and enjoyable day hikes tailored to a variety of guest experience levels, emphasizing the unique landscape and ecology of the Yellowstone region.
  • Partner with local contractors, such as outfitters, naturalists, and adventure guides, to expand activity offerings and ensure high-quality guest experiences.
  • Organize and host educational guest speakers specializing in regional wildlife, geology, history, Native American culture, and conservation efforts.
  • Monitor guest feedback and participation to refine activity programming and maintain exceptional standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental guidelines pertinent to wilderness and outdoor activities.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of activity-related equipment, ensuring readiness and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with lodging, dining, and marketing teams to promote activities and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity schedules, budgets, and contractor agreements.
