About The Position

Headquarters in Houston, Texas, Floworks is dedicated to delivering exceptional products, expertise, and service to its customers. The Associate, Acquisitions and Growth supports the company’s inorganic growth strategy through acquisition sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-close integration support. This role works closely with senior leadership, functional leaders, and external advisors to evaluate and execute strategic acquisitions that expand market presence, capabilities, and long-term value. Additionally, this role supports the executive leadership team with growth initiatives such as greenfield expansions, product line expansion and digital growth investments.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, strategy, or transaction advisory
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
  • High attention to detail with strong executive communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or B2B services
  • Exposure to M&A integration or operating roles post-close
  • MBA or CFA (or progress toward)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and screen acquisition targets aligned with strategic priorities
  • Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to support thesis-driven M&A
  • Maintain target pipelines, CRM tools, and outreach tracking
  • Build and review financial models (3-statement, accretion/dilution, IRR)
  • Analyze historical financials, customer concentration, margins, and growth drivers
  • Prepare investment memos and executive-level summaries for leadership and the Board
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, operational, legal, and HR diligence workstreams
  • Interface with external advisors (investment bankers, accountants, legal counsel)
  • Support LOI, purchase agreement, and closing process
  • Assist with post-close integration planning and execution
  • Track synergy realization and KPI performance against deal thesis
  • Support integration of systems, reporting, and operating cadence
  • Prepare materials for executive leadership and Board of Directors
  • Support strategic planning, portfolio reviews, and acquisition retrospectives
