About The Position

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex procurement processes. This role is critical to ensure that CACI maintains efficient and cost-effective procurement operations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the defense or government contracting sector.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and engage reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best value for CACI.
  • Maintain and update vendor databases and records.
  • Procurement Process: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with CACI’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Cost Management: Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies.
  • Monitor and report on procurement spending and budgets.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Ensure contract terms are adhered to by both CACI and vendors.
  • Resolve any contract-related issues or disputes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
  • Conduct analyses to identify areas for improvement in procurement processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
