About The Position

The Fall River Adult Community Clinical Services Program (ACCS) is seeking an experience, dedicated, and compassionate individual for the position of Clinical Social Worker functioning as Assistant Team Leader to provide Administrative Leadership and Support to Residential Programs to ensure the safety and care of clients and positive morale to staff assuring adequate staff coverage within the three State Operated Group Homes are met. Please Note: This position is 40 hours per week. The schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The days off will be Sunday and Saturday.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the principles, practice, and techniques of supervision.
  • Ability to supervise, including planning and assigning work according to the nature of the job to be accomplished.
  • Ability to plan, assign, and coordinate the activities of others.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of social work.
  • Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practice of psychotherapy.
  • Ability to develop psychosocial evaluations, to draw conclusions, and to make appropriate recommendations.
  • At least two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience as a clinical social worker after earning a Master's degree in social work.
  • A Master's or higher degree in social work is required.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Social Work is required.
  • Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative leadership and support in the Residential Program to ensure the safety and care of clients and positive morale of staff assuring adequate staff coverage within the three State Operated Group Homes are met.
  • Supervises assigned ACCS staff by regularly participating in clinical and administrative meetings to review community/GLE based treatment and to adequately convey agency policy and directives.
  • Maintain all licenses and certifications for the GLE’s.
  • Assures that the DMH, Area, and ACCS requirements and standards are met by reviewing those standards, meeting Licensing and Rehab Option requirements, and assuring that MDSP forms properly used.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and other regulatory agencies as they apply to ACCS and Community Standards and prepare for regulatory compliance.
  • Assuring that MAP certifications and infection control standards are met so that the program maintains a high standard of performance and that each client receives optimum care and treatment.
  • Provide clinical supervision and feedback to licensed and direct care team members and ensures that DMH service principles and core principles of the ACCS integrated team are provided at all stages of treatment.
  • At the discretion of the Program Director, may assign cases to ACCS team members, ensuring timely outreach, scheduling, and use of engagement strategies to engage persons in services.
  • Ensure ongoing communication amongst team and agency providers to ensure coordination of treatment planning and for sharing of pertinent information through use of daily rounds, weekly team meetings, case consultations, etc.
  • Provide direct care to ACCS clients by completing assessments, providing supportive counseling, and any other support when necessary.
  • Monitor the quality and appropriateness of care given to ACCS clients through clinical sharing, record auditing, providing direct supervision, and by conveying the principles of recovery and rehabilitation and ensure compliance with DMH, Rehab Option, Joint Commission, and agency standards.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of integrated team members communication, clinical interventions, and treatment provided to assigned GLE programs to ensure that the full complement of services are available to persons residing in GLE settings.
  • Serves as a back-up for the Program Director and execute daily program operations in the absence of the Program Director in consultation with the Director of Clinical Services.
