About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead our Accounts Receivable team and support the daily operations of the AR function. This role is responsible for overseeing collections processes, supervising team workflow, resolving account discrepancies, and driving continuous improvement across receivables operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of Accounts Receivable and/or Accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of collections, account reconciliation, dispute resolution, and general AR processes.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP/accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience within an Accounts Receivable or Accounting environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Receivable team, including training, coaching, and workflow management.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delinquency, and irregularities while driving timely and effective collections efforts.
  • Partner with Outside Sales Representatives and internal departments to resolve customer account issues and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, short pays, and other account-related issues.
  • Oversee chargebacks, returns, bad checks, lien filings, and joint check agreements.
  • Prepare reports, track account activity, and monitor departmental performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the AR department.
  • Support month-end close activities and assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
