About The Position

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Generalist is responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable function. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. The AR Generalist will demonstrate a strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles related to receivables. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

High degree of organization, planning, and problem-solving skills

Deep knowledge of departmental function

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft GP) is a plus

Responsibilities

Communicates with customers regarding account balances and questions; research discrepancies with customer payments/invoices.
Assists in sales tax maintenance on customer accounts.
Helps maintain accurate customer accounts and assists with updates/changes.
Processes credit applications.
Sets up customer accounts.
Maintains electronic files.
Maintains reports for management.
Records incoming payments.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
