About The Position

What You Should Know About the Accounts Payable Clerk:Monday- Friday: Typical hours 8:00-4:30. No weekends or call.This position is based within Jefferson Regional Accounting DepartmentJob Summary:The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing accounts payable. The role involves working closely with Materials Management to resolve issues and ensure timely payment of hospital obligations.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent: Business, Finance, or accounting required.
Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
Must be flexible and have the ability to interact with many individuals from the various disciplines found within a large healthcare organization.
Must be able to handle confidential material with integrity.
Accuracy and attention to detail is required as well as good communication skills.
Must be able to deal professionally and courteously with public and employees.
Must be able to handle stressful conditions, meet required deadlines and perform multiple tasks.
One to two years previous accounting / bookkeeping experience preferred.
On-the-job experience in spreadsheet software and Accounting / Reporting systems is preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and financial practices preferred
