About The Position

Salamander Middleburg Resort & Spa, a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond luxury destination, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, organization, and supporting operational excellence.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution. This position ensures all financial transactions are accurate, compliant, and completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2 years of Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Hospitality Finance experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to handle high-volume workload with accuracy and control
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, interacting professionally with hourly associates, managers, directors, the Managing Director, and corporate partners.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter high-volume invoices with accuracy and efficiency
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and compliance
• Maintain and update vendor files and accounting system records
• Coordinate and track invoice approvals and payment timelines
• Prepare and batch payments in accordance with company procedures
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries, resolving discrepancies promptly
• Audit invoices for accuracy and tax compliance
• Support general accounting processes and reporting as needed
