About The Position

The Accounts Payable Medicaid Specialist will assist the Medicaid Department with processing and entering data to ensure that all patient data & invoices/bills are paid accurately and timely. We are seeking someone with experience processing hospice room & board. At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice our goal is to change the expectation of hospice care in your area by providing exceptional care and service to our patients. This is achieved by allocating the resources to increase our staff to patient ratios, thereby increasing clinical visits while lowering clinician caseloads. Requirements

  • Great attitude, a team player with a desire to be helpful
  • Typing proficiency, accurate with 50+ WPM
  • General math skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent data entry, analytical and written/verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 5 year of experience in Accounts Payable or similar field preferred

Responsibilities

  • On a monthly basis check Patient Eligibility
  • Update facility rates
  • Confirm patient deductibles
  • Send monthly statements to facilities confirming amounts owed
  • Review Facility invoices for accuracy
  • Perform monthly check run for all facilities
  • Providing accurate and effective document preparation and records management in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Quick, accurate data entry and coding
  • All other duties as assigned
