About The Position

The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager will plan and direct all accounts payable activities of the company.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of efficient AP processes and the ability to execute process improvements when needed
  • Applying logical thought processes and organizing resources in order to solve issues and meet commitments
  • Making decisions and seizing opportunities in the context of business objectives
  • Partnering effectively with others in order to achieve results
  • Satisfying internal and external customer expectations and developing customer partnerships
  • Proficiency with electronic communications including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 8 years or more of related experience, including at least 2 years of management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years or more of professional office experience, preferably within a fast-paced accounting department.
  • 5 years or more of billing experience.
  • 5 years or more experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Previous billing experience using multiple job codes and data assembly from multiple sources.
  • Prior experience with AvidXchange, Expensify and/or Concur or similar systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage AP process from invoice receipt to issuance of payment via AvidXchange and NetSuite
  • Oversee preparation of weekly AP aging reports
  • Evaluate and oversee implementation of new AP systems and/or processes as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring timely payments and issuing manual payments as needed
  • Mentor and train accounts payable associates
  • Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounts payable transactions
  • Manage annual 1099 filing process
  • Research and troubleshoot any invoicing or payment issues
  • Identify and implement areas of improvement or automation opportunities
  • Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term objectives and policies
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
