JOB SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable Clerk has the main responsibility of maintaining the Meditech A/P System and overseeing the payment process of all vendor invoices. The Accounts Payable Clerk reports directly to the Controller. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum of high school diploma with preference given to college Accounting and/or related business courses. 2. Licensure/Certification: a.) None 3. Work Experience: a.) One to two years’ office experience with accounts payable, preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: 1. Responsible for the creation of and maintenance on all accounts payable master files. 2. Reviews the daily mail received by Accounts Payable to determine where the correspondence needs to go to initiate the payment process. 3. Oversees the input of all A/P data into the Meditech A/P System to insure tha all information is entered properly and on a timely basis. 4. Responsible for the reviewing of current A/P outstanding invoices to determine which invoices will be paid each week. 5. Responsible for the adherence to the guidelines established for the process of printing checks on both a weekly and as needed basis. 6. Responsible for the routine closing of A/P on both a daily basis and end-of-month accounting period. 7. Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Budget & Reimbursement. WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. General office setting. No exposure to extremes in temperature, lighting, or noise. 2. Requires prolonged sitting. 3. Requires frequent keyboarding. 4.
