About The Position

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and payment of all company invoices, creating and tracking purchase orders, providing detailed information to vendors and general ledger account reconciliations as assigned. The Accounts Payable Clerk will help the Finance Department to work to the highest standards to meet the mission of not only the Department, but the YMCA, the expectations of the staff and customers, and the best interests of Frost Valley.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of general ledger and accounting functions preferred.
  • Experience in data entry with working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to work well with a team of others.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • A clean and valid US Driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function
  • Shared responsibility of reconciliation of daily payments/receipts from all departments
  • Post daily deposits into accounting system and reconcile payments/receipts for all departments
  • Managing credit card expense account
  • Distribute vendor invoices to appropriate staff for payment approval
  • Process and prepare checks weekly based upon invoice due date
  • Manage and reconcile company petty cash funds
  • Reconcile, research, and resolve differences arising in vendor accounts in a timely manner
  • Processes timely monthly rent and lease payments
  • Maintain a highly organized filing system including vendor invoices, contacts and various other business documents.
  • Process refunds in a timely manner
  • Any other duties as assigned
