Role Duration: Seasonal role up to 6 months Location: Onsite in St. Paul, MN Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices. This position requires regular communication to internal customers and external vendors.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
Specialized AP experience engaging with numerous vendors, preferably in a manufacturing environment, will ensure quality performance in processing invoices in a timely manner, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring operational standards are met.

Responsibilities

Compile and maintain accounts payable records.
Assists with preparation of accounts payable checks; prints accounts payable reports.
Review checks and vouchers to verify proper payments before payments before payments are mailed out to vendors.
Prepare general ledger entries as required.
Perform AP data entry including daily proofing, matching documentation (invoice, PO, and Receipts), reconciliations, approvals and AP aging management.
Always comply with the company’s regulatory guidelines and corporate policies.
Maintain confidentiality regarding the company, products and employee information.
Verification of freight invoices and ensures proper allocation and supports are provided prior to input.
Strong relationship building skills enable interdepartmental coordination on AP related matters while maintaining outstanding vendor relationships.
