About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Manager, or Controller. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches all Medical Center, Medical Service Corp and Foundation invoices to purchase orders and records to cost centers. The clerk processes all A/P checks in a timely manner to take advantage of discount terms. Completes projects assigned by the Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Manager, or Controller.
Requirements
- Associate of Arts Degree in Business with emphasis in accounting or equivalent experience in computerized accounting systems to include Accounts Payable and General ledger.
- No prior experience required.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years Accounts Payable experience.
Responsibilities
- Entering and maintaining supplier accounts
- Entering and maintaining supplier invoices
- Update Audit and Coste Report schedules
- Create and maintain cash settlement runs
- Assisting with other accounting functions as needed
- The employee supports the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
- Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position (reference program education curriculum).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
