About The Position

The Accounts Payable Clerk position is critical for ensuring the company stays up to date on all bills. This role requires a strong interest in accounting, the ability to handle multiple tasks and details simultaneously, and exceptional customer service skills. The Clyde Companies, established almost 100 years ago as WW Clyde, has grown into nine separate subsidiaries collaborating on thousands of projects annually, spanning administrative services, insurance, building materials, and construction. Clyde Companies, Inc. specifically provides administrative services to the other eight subsidiaries. The company is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk who wants to make an impact and join the Clyde family, contributing to their goal of Building a Better Community by focusing on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, empowering employees to give back, and supporting local communities.

Requirements

  • A strong interest in Accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and other computer skills
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Data entry skills

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify all invoices for appropriate approval
  • Scan and enter invoices into accounting system
  • Review vendor statements and work with vendors to research and correct differences
  • Mail checks to vendors
  • Other assigned duties
