About The Position

Position: Accounts Payable Associate Department: Finance Department Availability of Position: Immediate Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday -Friday Reporting Relationship: Accounts Payable-Team Lead/Smart Data Corps/Controller Salary and Grade: $23.10 per hour; 76, Non-Exempt The Salvation Army is hiring and offers truly excellent benefit package to eligible employees including: Generous paid time off every year that includes: holidays, up to 3 personal days, vacation time and sick time. Requirements

  • Beginner competency of computer software including Word and Excel.
  • Strategic thinker and effective decision maker.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple levels of operations.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environment.
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
  • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 along with renewals every five years.
  • Must have an understanding of, appreciation for, and support the Mission of The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming invoices for completeness, approval, prior payment history.
  • Enter invoice data into accounting software
  • Mail checks and file voucher copies with backup information for Finance and DDP departments
  • Process remittances where applicable
  • Assist DDP AP Associate with entering DDP invoice data into accounting software
  • Research statements, vendor inquiries, program inquiries, payment issues
