CPSFL has an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Payable Assocaite for a full-time position. The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the daily management of all invoices and data relating to the payables of all entities under the Community Partners of South Florida (CPSFL) umbrella.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field,
• Three (3) years a experience processing accounts payables within a high volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and accounting software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including intermediate functions and the ability to interpret and work with detailed financial spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing invoices, payments, and financial records.
• Ability to clearly explain financial information, policies, and procedures to program staff and other non-financial personnel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies or vendor issues.
• Ability to work both independently with initiative and accountability, and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate options and determine effective solutions to operational or financial challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across varying programs, funding sources, and operational environments while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Processing of all Accounts Payable invoices on a weekly basis, including but not limited to data entry, check issuance, copying, scanning, filing and mailing of payments.
• Ensure the timely and accurate processing and mailing of all vendor payments to avoid late payments and delinquent accounts.
• Understanding of basic Accounting concepts as related to job function.
• Work closely with program managers, and mentor in areas of check coding, descriptions, timelines and eliminating delinquencies and inefficiencies.
