Alera Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Associate with insurance brokerage experience. Requirements

  • 4+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience with a thorough understanding of AP processes and chart of accounts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail, capable of handling sensitive situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word), and preferred experience with Zendesk, Workday, Concur and NetSuite platforms
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, embracing change as a growth opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Process a high-volume of invoices/check requests accurately with attention to detail
  • Monitor AP inbox - address & respond accurately and timely to vendor inquiries
  • Advanced reconcile vendor statements, past-due notices, and research outstanding checks, with knowledge of escheatment and vendor maintenance
  • Assist with month-end/year-end close
  • Support the AP team on group projects as needed
