About The Position

The AP/AR Manager will oversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions within the company. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills who can manage vendor relationships, ensure timely payments, handle billing processes, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial real estate or related industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing AP/AR functions; commercial real estate industry experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Yardi,) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, tenants/customers, and internal teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • commercial real estate industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of accounts payable including invoice processing, payment approvals, check runs, and vendor reconciliations
  • Oversee accounts receivable activities such as invoicing tenants/customers, tracking payments, managing collections, and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounting system
  • Coordinate month-end close processes related to AP/AR accounts
  • Prepare reports on cash flow status for management review
  • Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to ensure billing accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements regarding financial transactions
  • Lead process improvements to increase efficiency in AP/AR workflows
  • Supervise junior accounting staff as needed
