About The Position

The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process while supporting general accounting functions, month-end close, and audit activities. This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience, AND 2+ years of general accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices
  • Experience with SAP HANA or similar ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not required
  • CPA candidate or progress toward certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with company policies
  • Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
  • Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain complete and accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, ensuring professional and timely responses
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations related to accounts payable and other assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals as needed
  • Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and support accurate financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing required documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support business operations
