About The Position

The Accounting Systems Manager – is responsible for owning and optimizing the Blackline reporting tool and related close processes. This role combines strong accounting knowledge, systems expertise, and internal control discipline to drive an efficient, accurate, and well‑controlled financial close.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems (Accounting emphasis).
• 5+ years of accounting or accounting systems experience.
• Hands‑on Blackline experience desired.
• Strong understanding of record‑to‑report processes and internal controls.
• Technically inclined, detail‑oriented, and comfortable partnering with IT.
• ERP experience (PDI, Longview) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary owner and administrator of Blackline, including configuration, user access, reconciliations, journals, task management, and automation.
• Partner with IT, Internal Audit, and Finance teams to further leverage the use of Blackline for process improvements and automation opportunities, migrating manual activities into Blackline.
• Train and supervise accounting staff on Blackline usage, best practices, and control standards.
• Assist in period‑end close activities with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
• Design, maintain, and monitor SOX‑compliant internal controls.
• Review account reconciliations, journal entries and ancillary tasks like unclaimed property filings.
