Description Job Duties Oversee a combination of accounting staff Reviews account reconciliations and journal entries ensuring compliance with existing controls, policies and procedures and GAAP Coordinate and review the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual processes for accuracy Oversee and review of work and monthly account reconciliations performed by team members Get, guide and root for assigned team and accurately assess performance, provide support, training, mentoring, and development to staff on an ongoing basis to ensure the department performs at a maximum performance level Assist Director in developing and leading regular training sessions to enhance department performance Assist Director in creating and implementing strategic vision Provides Director with metrics of assigned team noting key achievements and areas needing improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Proactively provides feedback to leadership on people, process, technology and compliance EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry accounting experience required Understanding of regulatory requirements is required QUALIFICATIONS: Organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet assigned deadlines as required Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Must be a team player in a professional environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
