The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department and ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting team. Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts. Make recommendations for process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency within the department. Monitor cash flow and bank account balances to ensure adequate liquidity. Review and track all bank debits and credits. Monitor Customs & Duties reports for accuracy and compliance. Supervise Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate processing. Manage overhead invoices. Oversee daily Positive Pay submissions for fraud prevention. Generate and distribute Statements of Account (SOA) and aging reports. Manage delinquent and past due accounts; negotiate and maintain payment plans with clients. Conduct accounting team meetings to review timelines, resolve issues, and assign projects. Establish and update accounting processes as needed. Record payroll journal entries. Coordinate with agents for contra settlements. Reconcile all bank accounts. Code and reconcile corporate credit card statements using cost codes. Manage U.S. Customs and Border Protection pulls, ensuring accurate bank debit transactions. Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for AR/AP processes. Identify and implement accounting process improvements. Explore and implement cost-effective solutions for AP payments to reduce accounting fees. Serve as backup to the Senior AR/AP Specialist. Provide cross-functional support for various departmental projects and initiatives.
