Role Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years accounting/finance experience

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting or finance degree preferred
  • Google Documents / Sheets or Microsoft Suite experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist with invoice processing
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial data.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting data.
  • Analyzing daily fluctuations in the general ledger
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper filing and organization of documents.
  • Build-up your accounting knowledge through peer support, researching accounting guidance, and documenting conclusions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
