About The Position

Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. KRS Division dba Kaydon Ring & Seal (“KRS”) is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial applications. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine/airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of KRS. Job Summary The Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring that a company’s financial records are accurate and complete. This position is operational in nature and is expected to maintain a regular on-site presence, serving as a trusted partner for the Finance Team while performing a variety of Accounting Specialist job duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited institution and a minimum of one (1) year of accounting experience; OR Associate degree in Business or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience; OR High school diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
  • Data entry skills to record transactions quickly without making errors.
  • Ability to use accounting software programs (e.g., Business Central).
  • Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws.
  • Arithmetic skills to double-check calculations.
  • Strong analytical skills to locate and correct errors.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to keep information from various accounts separate.
  • Multitasking ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day.
  • Time management skills to ensure that reports are completed and payments are received on time.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular on-site presence at Hanover, PA location.
  • Work is performed in an office environment while supporting manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • This position may require access to information and items subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Access to such information is restricted to U.S. persons as defined under applicable law. Employment in this position is contingent upon the candidate’s ability to comply with U.S. export control requirements and, where applicable, the company’s ability to obtain any required authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and complying with all facility safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Recording transactions such as expenses and sales revenue.
  • Processing payments to utilities and vendors to pay for supplies, materials and other expenses.
  • Sending bills to customers to request payment for services or goods provided.
  • Reconciling accounts and making note of debits and credits that have not posted.
  • Printing checks and initiating ACH for vendors.
  • Generating financial reports as requested.
  • Identifying and correcting any errors that occur due to data entry.
  • Filing tax returns.
  • Serves as back up for Accounts Receivables and Payables.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with business needs.
