About The Position

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data. Focusing primarily on credit card and balance sheet reconciliations, the Accounting Specialist will also support a high volume of transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in production finance, project finance, or a similar role
• Understanding of GAAP
• Deadline driven with excellent time management
• Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite; ability to reconcile and integrate data across systems
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including complex formulas and multi-tab budget models
• Understanding of accruals, expense coding, and month-end close processes
• Ability to manage multiple active projects with competing deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

• Credit card account reconciliation and tracking
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Prepare journal entries as needed
• Collaborate with accounts payable and payroll and serve as a back up
• Assist with month end and year end close process, including accrual preparation
• Review financial data and support variance analysis
• Perform other duties as assigned
