About The Position

As an Accounting Services Supervisor you will lead a team of accounting operation specialists. Additionally, you will assist senior leadership in enhancing our processes and procedures which allow us to provide our clients with best-in-class accounting and fiduciary services. This position is responsible for the coordination and accuracy of client deliverables. This position is located at our home office in Rutherford, New Jersey. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
  • Experience in the insurance or broader banking/financial services industry strongly desired, particularly in a similar accounting/operations/back-office role
  • Supervisory/Management experience required.
  • Strong operational skills/process driven mentality.
  • Highly organized with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal oversight.
  • Strong excel skills; experience with database tools such as Tableau a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Direct team of accounting operations specialists responsible for day-to-day management of client escrow accounts, to include:
  • Monitoring daily funding levels to ensure sufficient capacity to issue pending/upcoming payments; interact with clients to arrange additional funding when necessary.
  • Issuing checks and other payments (wire transfers, ACH).
  • Providing detailed client reporting (monthly and ad-hoc).
  • Reconciling bank accounts to internal systems.
  • Ensuring data integrity related to financial records in core systems.
  • Responding to client and internal inquiries promptly, professionally, and efficiently.
  • Develop client relationships, plan and supervise expectations and deliverables, and be a key client contact.
  • Assist clients in accounting and financial reporting needs, including ensuring appropriate resources are being allocated.
  • Assist in evaluating and establishing financial reporting internal controls.
  • Provide client management with value added financial analysis and ongoing process feedback.
  • Assist in the development of enhanced department best practices, processes, tools, and systems to enhance best-in-class approach.
