About The Position

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the monthly accounting close process while collaborating with various FP&A teams. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, conducting monthly account reconciliations and journal entries, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Requirements

Proficiency in journal entries, month-end close, and balance sheet analysis.
Experience in process improvement and analyzing accruals across multiple functions.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and related internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas, and data manipulations.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of experience with US GAAP functions within a large organization.
5+ years of experience with journal entries and reconciling liabilities, prepaids & accruals for month-end close.
3+ years of experience with forecasting and collaborating with FP&A.
2+ years of experience with SAP since 2020 or more recent.

Experience in the life sciences or pharma industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and execution of the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Support month-end close and post-close activities, including preparation of various journal entries across multiple Finance functions.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations across multiple Finance functions.
Ensure operational and process compliance with applicable accounting policies, US GAAP, and related internal controls.
Provide accounting support by working closely with key functional finance personnel.
Participate in special projects as needed.
