About The Position

The Accounting/Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger support. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1-3 years of accounting and/or payroll experience
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Process and enter vendor invoices and customer payments
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Process payroll, including timecard review, data entry, and payroll adjustments
• Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll-related reporting and inquiries
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and payroll reports
• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting
• Prepare and process check runs and ACH payments
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing, payments, and payroll
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Generate financial and payroll reports using accounting software and Excel
