About The Position

A downtown Syracuse law firm is seeking an experienced Accounting/Payroll Manager on a full-time basis. The Payroll Manager is the ``go-to`` team member for payroll administration and manages payroll processes for W2, 1099 and K-1 tax classifications. Additional responsibilities include overseeing 401(k) and Cash Balance Plan payroll and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and interpret complex payroll reports
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state and local payroll regulations
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and compliance issues across multiple states
  • Supervise and mentor Senior Payroll Analyst
  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Monitor changes in payroll laws, tax regulations and benefits requirements
  • Develop, analyze and maintain complex payroll analytics and reports
  • Provide expert and confidential support to the HR Administrator and HR Director on payroll, compliance and policy matters
