About The Position

CR&R Incorporated is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee core transactional accounting functions and lead a team responsible for Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable. This role is hands-on, compliance-driven, and highly visible, supporting accurate financial reporting and operational decision-making across a multi-state organization. Salary Starting from $115k + based on experience

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and payroll management experience
Demonstrated experience with GL, payroll, AR, and AP functions
Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and payroll tax requirements
High ethical standards with strong organizational and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Oversee payroll accounting, including payroll journal entries, tax compliance, and required SUI documentation
Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, including billing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations
Prepare financial reports and analyses for leadership, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Maintain compliance with regulatory, tax, and internal control requirements
Lead and supervise accounting and payroll staff, setting expectations and ensuring accountability
Partner with internal departments to provide financial insight and operational support
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and reviews
Support Senior Accountants and the Controller during annual audit activities
