Summary: The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations and ensures timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. This role drives process improvements and team development through technology and best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, general ledger, and month/year-end close.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and GAAP knowledge.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in process improvement and team leadership.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • AI Interest and openness to learn AI

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly close and daily accounting operations, including general ledger, cash, receivables, payables, inventory, and capital activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of the balance sheet and review account reconciliations.
  • Implement proper accounting methods in line with GAAP.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff.
  • Lead process improvements and technology-driven efficiencies.
  • Collaborate on resource utilization, technology adoption, and automation.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
