We are seeking a hands-on accounting leader to oversee core financial operations while guiding and developing a growing accounting team. This role blends people leadership, technical accounting, and operational ownership, with direct involvement in close, reporting, compliance, and audit activities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (professional certification such as CPA preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading or managing accounting teams, including supervision, coaching, and performance management
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working within an ERP environment (e.g., NetSuite or comparable systems)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organization, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proven leadership presence with the ability to communicate clearly across teams and levels of the organization
  • High attention to detail paired with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to operate with urgency while maintaining accuracy and consistency
  • Comfortable adapting to change and evolving business needs
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a positive, professional approach
  • Capacity to handle a high volume of work efficiently without sacrificing quality or integrity

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of accounting professionals through regular guidance, feedback, and development discussions
  • Assign work strategically to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of deliverables
  • Encourage collaboration and accountability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Oversee and actively participate in monthly close activities, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, intercompany activity, and balance sheet analysis
  • Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations and review outgoing payments through online banking platforms
  • Support periodic audits and financial reviews, including coordination for bank and year‑end reporting requirements
  • Prepare and manage monthly borrowing base reporting
  • Direct daily accounting functions such as accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and transactional accuracy
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with established accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with external partners including auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions
  • Act as the primary liaison for external audit activities, regulatory reviews, and compliance inquiries
  • Organize audit documentation, respond to requests, and ensure timely follow‑up on findings or recommendations
  • Maintain year‑round audit preparedness through strong documentation, controls, and internal coordination
  • Monitor and evaluate accounting processes, controls, and reporting workflows
  • Develop and track financial and operational performance indicators
  • Identify potential risks and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and business practices to strengthen controls and safeguard assets
  • Oversee indirect tax filings and other required regulatory submissions at the federal, state, and local level
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to gather data, track deadlines, and ensure compliance
  • Review filings for completeness and accuracy, maintaining organized records and supporting documentation
