About The Position

Manager, Accounting Preferred candidates to be located in Atlanta Metro with hybrid schedule with 3 days in office. The Role: Responsible for overseeing the monthly close, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls in a complex, multi ‑ entity environment. This role leads and develops the accounting team while partnering across the organization to support the company ’ s growth, compliance, and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required in one of the following fields; Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Required
  • 7+ years relevant experience of progressive accounting experience
  • 3+ years experience leading a team
  • Experience in a $100M+ revenue organization or similarly complex environment
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Familiarity with systems; SAP and other internal transversal process systems
  • Strong accounting, financial and tax reporting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents as well as standard procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, financial reports, and professional journals.
  • Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively with employees of company.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret and understand financial statements.
  • Independent worker with good decision-making skills, which includes knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with revenue recognition, internally developed software, lease accounting, M&A a plus
  • Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national/regional firm) preferred
  • May consider a combination of relevant experience with educational and other skills and abilities in lieu of educational requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including review and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and variance analysis
  • Manage treasury activities, including daily cash management, banking relationships, and liquidity oversight
  • Oversee the company’s collection activities, including AR aging review, bad debt reserves and collaboration with Sales to improve cash conversion
  • Partner with offshore accounting resources to support transaction processing, account reconciliations and close activities
  • Partner with the Tax function to support tax reporting, compliance, and audit requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit requests and resolving issues
  • Partner cross ‑ functionally with FP&A, HR, Operations, Legal, and IT to support business initiatives and financial accuracy
  • Assist with special projects, including technical accounting research, system implementations and M&A
