Requirements

Active CPA license required.
7+ years of accounting experience (small business or firm-based), with at least 3 years supervising or mentoring accounting professionals.
Advanced QuickBooks Online expertise with complex workflows and third-party integrations.
Deep knowledge of accrual accounting, GAAP, job costing, inventory, and class/location reporting.
Proven track record of leading teams, improving processes, and driving quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee the performance and deliverables of Senior Accounting Specialists, ensuring accuracy in month-end close, reporting, and advanced accounting tasks.
Conduct regular reviews of client books and validate transitions from catch-up/initialization to maintenance, ensuring accuracy, proper scoping, and clean handoffs.
Build, document, and refine SOPs and workflows aligned with Uplinq’s automation-first approach.
Mentor team members in accrual accounting, job costing, inventory, and class/location reporting.
Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and create clear growth paths.
Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
Act as an escalation point for complex client issues and join key client meetings as needed.
Ensure clients consistently experience accuracy, professionalism, and clear insights.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen integrations, and scale best practices.
