About The Position

The Learning Delivery Specialist – Accounting is a highly skilled facilitator with deep accounting and financial operations expertise. This role is responsible for delivering interactive, accurate, and role-relevant training on financial management and ERP products to both internal teams and external clients. Unlike traditional trainers who follow rigid scripts, this facilitator must understand complex accounting workflows, adapt in real time to varied financial use cases, and confidently answer expert-level questions from accounting professionals, controllers, and operational leaders. This role works closely with L&D Specialists (product SMEs), Instructional Designers, and Product Learning & Enablement to bring financial curriculum to life through exceptional facilitation. They ensure clients receive training that reflects real-world accounting scenarios, industry best practices, regulatory considerations, and the capabilities of TownSq’s financial systems. This position is onsite 5 days a week at our Richardson, Texas location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting roles (AP/AR, GL accountant, staff accountant, or similar).
  • Experience with financial systems, ERPs, accounting software, or financial modules of SaaS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and ERP workflows.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills with ability to engage diverse accounting audiences.
  • Ability to translate accounting jargon into practical, learner-friendly examples.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly during live training.
  • Comfort navigating software systems and explaining technical workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent accounting certification preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience facilitating training, leading workshops, or mentoring teams (formal or informal) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality training on financial management systems, ERP modules, workflows, and reporting tools.
  • Facilitate sessions for accounting audiences, including AP/AR specialists, accountants, controllers, and finance leaders.
  • Adapt explanations and content dynamically based on the client’s accounting structure, chart of accounts, controls, and business rules.
  • Explain complex financial concepts (e.g., accruals, deferred revenue, reconciliations, fund accounting) in accessible terms for diverse learners.
  • Use scenarios, examples, and demonstrations specific to accounting operations in the community association management environment.
  • Maintain deep subject-matter expertise in financial products, including general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, reporting, bank reconciliation, allocations, and month-end processes.
  • Understand how accounting workflows translate into system actions and vice versa.
  • Stay informed on product enhancements, new finance features, and regulatory impacts that may affect training.
  • Partner with L&D Specialists and Instructional Designers to co-create facilitator guides, demos, and delivery tools for financial training.
  • Ensure financial training materials accurately reflect accounting best practices, internal controls, and compliance considerations.
  • Provide feedback to curriculum teams on where learners struggle, what workflows need clearer documentation, or what needs re-sequencing for better comprehension.
  • Facilitate hands-on practice: journal entries, AP workflows, reporting drills, reconciliations, and approval pathways.
  • Adjust pacing and depth based on learners’ accounting backgrounds (novice to advanced).
  • Field complex accounting questions and provide real-world examples to bridge theory and system behavior.
  • Tailor training session flow based on the client’s accounting maturity, staff size, and process complexity.
  • Create inclusive, supportive learning environments where people feel safe asking questions and exploring complexity.
  • Tailor explanations, workflows, and scenarios based on learner roles (e.g., community manager, accounting, support, board members, etc.).
  • Navigate challenging questions and high-pressure moments with confidence and professionalism.
  • Collect insights on where financial users encounter friction and collaborate with Product Learning & Enablement to inform product enhancements.
  • Recommend improvements to financial curricula, demo data, and practice exercises.
  • Provide feedback to implementation and support teams on recurring accounting issues observed during training.
