About The Position

A well-established agriculture company is seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to oversee its Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and partnering with operations in a fast-paced crop management environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience overseeing AP and AR functions
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in agriculture, crop management, or a related industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the AP and AR departments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations
• Review workflows and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and internal controls
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, management, and external partners
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to AP/AR staff
• Support month-end close activities and reporting as needed
