Internship Location This internship is located at the OmniSource, Toledo, Ohio. This internship will take place in Summer 2026. Time Frame: Typically 16 weeks, May - Aug, but flexible, M-F 40 hours. In office only.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritze tasks effectively.
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Payment Processing
Process payments in accordance with established payment procedures.
Match vouchers with invoices and verify appropriate approval for expenditures.
Code expenses to the correct accounts and cost centers.
Process checks on a weekly basis and maintain Accounts Payable ledgers.
Vendor Account Maintenance
Research vendor inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
Reconcile monthly statements and transactions.
Ensure proper documentation and approval for account setup.
Month-End Closing Assistance
Assist with month-end closing tasks and any other job duties as needed.
Participate in special projects and assignments as directed by supervisors.
