Summer Internship, Accounting
About The Position
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible intern for a full-time 8-week summer internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of our talented professionals. Work closely with our financial analysts to review, clean, and validate data, financial reporting, and participate in the business review process to gain an understanding of the importance of data validation, management reporting, and data visualization. Enhance your Microsoft Excel & Oracle Smart View skills to pull general ledger data, run financial reporting, and consolidate financial information. This position will be based on-site at Wonderful Citrus located in Delano, CA. This schedule for this internship is 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Days of the week and work hours may change due to business needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of beginner proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work autonomously
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
- Strong analytical skills
- Must organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a small-team member.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
