About The Position

At PSS Cross Country Infrastructure Solutions, every team member plays a critical role in delivering the products, equipment, and expertise that keep America’s infrastructure projects moving forward. The Accounting Intern will support the Finance team with a variety of accounting functions, gaining hands-on experience in fixed assets, inventory, reconciliations, and month-end processes. This role provides exposure to real-world accounting operations in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This position reports to the Accounting or Finance leadership team and works closely with the Controller, Accounting Manager, and broader finance team.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables preferred)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

• Relevant coursework in financial accounting or corporate finance
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
• Interest in financial analysis and business partnering

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and support journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze financial data and help identify trends and variances
• Support preparation of financial reports and management reporting packages
• Maintain and update financial models and Excel-based analyses
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
