About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our Accounting & Finance team for the summer. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting multiple accounting functions within a growing organization. The intern will assist with activities related to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and operational accounting while gaining exposure to several areas of the business.
This role will serve as a shared resource between the Finance and Real Estate Accounting teams, offering the opportunity to collaborate within a small team supporting corporate accounting, treasury, financial reporting, and real estate accounting functions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Finance majors may also be considered).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks that support the monthly close process and financial reporting.
• Provide support to corporate accounting, treasury, real estate accounting, and financial reporting functions.
• Help prepare schedules, reports, and reconciliations used in the month-end close process.
• Assist with data organization and analysis using Microsoft Excel.
• Support accounting documentation and internal reporting processes.
• Participate in cross-functional shadowing opportunities with members of the corporate accounting, treasury, real estate accounting, and financial reporting teams.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
