The Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMA-OHS) is seeking an accounting expert that must be a Certified Public Accountant. They will be the lead in the coordination and reporting of the agency’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (“ACFR”). They will review, correct, and make recommendations on the agency’s internal accounting records to ensure agency compliance with GAAP and State accounting records. They will review, create, and make recommendations to internal controls over the agency’s financial records. They will assist in the review and collection of records for GAAP and assist in responding to various audit requests. This position will be highly involved in the agency’s SAP system and help ensure staff are correctly making entries, corrections, and overall accounting records within the system are accurate.
