FSM Group LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance team in accounts payable, processing invoices, reconciling statements, and maintaining accurate financial records, as well as reviewing and reporting payroll hours and rates to the State. This role is essential to ensuring timely payments and strong vendor relationships.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or business preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aviation, logistics, or fuel management industries.
  • Knowledge of three-way matching and invoice approval workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals.
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy.
  • Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized records of payments and vendor files.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support audits by providing requested documentation.
  • Review system generated weekly payroll for 30 employees.
  • Monitor report each week the payroll hours and rates to the state.
  • Monitor payroll journal and overtime requirements in support of quarterly reporting.
  • Collaborate on annual budget plan and attend annual budget planning conference.
  • Become familiar with the job duties of financial team member to provide critical task support during vacations and sick days.
  • Manage historical financial documents and modernize to electronic filing.
