About The Position

The Accounting Clerk provides essential administrative and accounting support to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of daily financial operations. This role supports Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, data entry, and general accounting functions while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organization.

Requirements

  • Education: Some college
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting support experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and trustworthiness
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide general support to the accounting department, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
  • Manage incoming correspondence, deposit checks, and distribute mail to appropriate departments or external agencies
  • Receive, review, and verify expense reports; reconcile expense and financial reports with account balances and office records
  • Assist with maintaining accounting records and ledgers, including reconciling monthly statements and transactions
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
  • Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Copy, file, and retrieve accounting and administrative documents as needed
  • Support department leadership with clerical and administrative tasks
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
