About The Position

Waltonen is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our accounting department while also managing front desk operations. This role is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing professional receptionist services as the first point of contact for visitors and callers.

Requirements

  • Diploma or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration preferred.
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounting software is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a professional approach to both financial and front office responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using accounting software or ERP systems (QuickBooks, E2, Deltek, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Experience supporting both administrative and financial functions within an office environment

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, verify documentation, and prepare payments.
  • Maintain accounts payable records and assist with reconciliations.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and payment inquiries.
  • Greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and manage incoming mail.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting team.
