Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team in Waterloo, IA. This role is ideal for a proven accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys working in a smaller, nimble organization where your contributions truly matter.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong math, typing, and computer skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, including data analysis, reporting, and email/calendar management
  • Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with diverse teams, build relationships with open communication and mutual respect.

Responsibilities

  • Processing, verifying, and sending out of invoices to customers.
  • Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
  • Processing and recording transactions.
  • Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
  • Working to review accounts, customer payments, and credit history.
  • Contacting customers to address past due invoices and collect their accounts.
  • Generating reports and statements for internal use.
  • Assistance with quoting and purchasing as needed
  • Office Support duties, back up telephone answering, greeting customers, scanning, etc.
