About The Position

Seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the Accounts Receivable and deposit processing function at our Bakersfield office. This is an on‑site, transactional accounting role responsible for handling physical mail, preparing deposits, maintaining accurate records, and providing accounting documentation support to a largely remote finance team. This position is ideal for someone with AR or accounting clerk experience who enjoys structured, detail‑oriented work and takes pride in accuracy and organization.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or in Accounts Receivable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets, and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of accounting functions.
  • Ability to perform a variety of clerical tasks, including data entry, deposits, records filing, and general administrative support.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the medical field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Scan and sort weekly deposits, with Mondays being the busiest day.
  • Prepare and update spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Forward invoices to Accounts Payable for processing.
  • Manage all incoming mail and distribute it to the appropriate departments.
  • Provide coding support for posting to the General Ledger.
  • Perform scanning and emailing tasks as needed.
