About The Position

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of BYLT with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role ensures accurate processing of invoices, payments, billing, cash application, and collections while maintaining organized financial records and supporting month-end closing activities. The Accounting Clerk works closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve discrepancies, ensure timely payments, and uphold accounting policies and procedures. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role

Requirements

  • 2–3 years AR, AP, or accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of debits/credits and accounting principles
  • Excel proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Associates degree

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite ERP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enter and code vendor invoices
  • Route invoices for approval
  • Match invoices to POs/receipts
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve issues
  • Create and maintain vendor records and 1099s
  • Process credit cards and employee expenses
  • Identify month-end accruals
  • Assist with new customer onboarding and documentation retention
  • Apply customer payments and deposits
  • Reconcile cash and merchant settlements
  • Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Assist with collections and customer inquiries
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Support month-end close and reporting
  • Maintain organized records and documentation
  • Assist with audits and other reviews
  • Other duties, as assigned
