About The Position

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is seeking an entry level Accounting Generalist to join our dynamic Accounting Department. This position is located onsite and is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, reviewing invoices in our procurement system, and helping other areas of the team as needed. Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience (College Graduate preferred)
• Previous accounting experience is preferred
• Requires a working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
• Good command of the English language
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time
• Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment, Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel), and other accounting software's
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily cash transactions and deposits for accuracy, investigating variances where necessary.
• Prepare daily bank deposits for checks and foreign currency.
• Responsible for training cash-handling associates and ensuring procedures are followed.
• Communicate variances or issues with cash handling to the appropriate member of the management team.
• Review invoices within the procurement system for accuracy and detail.
• Speak with vendors and team members as needed to clear variances or issues with vendor statements or payments.
• Collaborate with other members of the Accounting team with month-end responsibilities and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review the daily routing report notating any variances or issues.
• Assist in other areas of the accounting office or finance disciplines as needed.
