About The Position

Performs simple, repetitive tasks within the general or specialized accounting functions of a department. Posts journal entries, processes payments, verifies information, files, and assists in the preparation of reports.

Requirements

  • Must be an Accounting Major. ( Sophomores and Juniors)
  • Able to use a 10-key calculator by touch.
  • Good eyesight and manual dexterity.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Must attach Resume and current semester class schedule (weekly view)
  • All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie.
  • Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations

Responsibilities

  • Performs repetitive tasks within general or specialized accounting functions of a department.
  • Performs routine and repetitive accounting duties under close supervisor with specific instructions.
  • May check matching payments to accounts receivable, plus invoice and purchase order items.
  • May assist in preparing bank or cash room statements and journal vouchers.
  • May assist the Budget tracking, forecasting, and P-Card monthly report processing
